The efficiency and life of Servo Voltage Stabilizer manufactured at Power Engineers is much higher as compared to the conventional Servo Voltage Stabilizer manufactured by other manufacturers. The following points justify the fact:
- In our regulators, the roller moves on both sides of the coils,
that is, in one direction, it increases the voltage and in the other
direction, it reduces the voltage. Whereas in case of conventional
dimmerstats, brush move in only one direction, which requires double
capacity dimmerstat in comparison to that used by us.
- In the Conventional Dimmerstat of 100 Amp current, winding is
done by copper wire of approx 10 sq mm area. Whereas in our
regulators of 100 Amp, we make use of copper strip of cross section
area 20 sq mm. That is, our copper area for the same regulator is
double than that of dimmerstat used by other manufacturers.
- In conventional dimmerstat, the carbon brushes slide over the
winding and tends to wear off, resulting in deposition of carbon in
between winding. In our manufacturing unit, we use carbon roller
assembly instead of brushes, which have negligible wear and carbon
deposit on the track is minimum.
- It is known that the power losses of electrical equipments are directly proportional to the square of the current drawn by it. For the above case, the losses in conventional dimmerstat are four times because of lesser copper size and with double the sizes of dimmerstat, the losses becomes eight times more than the losses of our regulator. Due to this fact, the efficiency of our stabilizer is more than 98% compared to less than 95% of other manufacturers.
